How to make the most of quarantine?

Quarantine and chill.

For so many of us, this quarantine period has granted us so much more time than we ever had. This extra time has allowed us to do something we have always wanted to do. I think it makes sense for us to be productive at this moment and do things that are important to us.


This blog lists a variety of meaningful activities that you can do while being quarantined.

  1. Read a book Books exercise your brain, build up your vocabulary, alleviate tension, and improve your creativity. If you like literature or nonfiction, grab some books and start reading more each week. There’s no excuse because you can purchase pre-loved books as well. Don’t hesitate, if you like audio, ebooks might be the way forward for you.

  2. Go for a morning walk It’s essential to be mindful of your surroundings and your well-being when you’re in quarantine, and morning jogs could help you get a little peace of mind in such uncertain times. Find a park nearby and take a stroll every morning, recharge your batteries with some therapeutic music. Morning jog is one of the best activities you can do right now to ease stress and strengthen your well-being.

  3. Talk to your loved ones. We are disconnected from the individuals with whom we normally spend quality time, but we can be linked to them by more means than ever before. Meet up and have a virtual party with your family members and friends. Make the most of this time by talking to your loved ones who you might not have talked to in a while.

  4. Home workout There are hundreds of interactive exercise courses to select from that you can do at home, but basically, it’s about choosing the one you like and that suits your lifestyle. There are lots of fitness applications for free and loaded with features that most applications would charge for. You can also work out through Google Home or via YouTube. Working out at home doesn’t need lavish home gyms. Depending on the exercise you want to do, you just need to clear up a bit of room.

  5. Netflix and chill. While watching a relaxing Netflix TV series is a great way to spend time, it can be a little unproductive too, and you might find yourself binge-watching shows. Besides your usual watching habits, watch meaningful films or documentaries and figure out your interests.

  6. Maintain a diary/ journal Holding note of your emotions, interests, and learning is a smart idea and a very productive one. You might look back to this moment and process your feelings, or even process your emotions about the day or week that’s gone by. Try going a little further by setting up a personal journal that will capture those everyday encounters and convert them into daily or weekly blogs.

  7. Do Gardening. Did you know that gardening works wonders for your well-being, too? It allows you to concentrate on things and make your mind work with a purpose and a mission in mind. It may also be a solo hobby or a social experience for your loved ones. The pleasure and emotional relief that gardening brings is a wonderful way to bond with others.

  8. Gaming Playing with peers is a perfect idea to divert your mind. Video games can be an ideal forum for addressing social needs. Many of us trapped at home desperately need something to take our thoughts away from the horrendous situation that has taken over the world. Video games, with their interesting adventures, hours of fun, and built-in social interactions, can be that sort of escape.

  9. Learn a hobby It’s an opportunity for all of us to take up a new hobby. Your hobbies are essential for your mental well-being and to keep you busy enough to make yourself a priority without getting exhausted. They will help you discover fresh ways to have a fun life and feel better. So make sure to learn something new, and you are good to go!
